ANNUAL WINE AND CHEESE NETWORKING EVENT

Wednesday, November 1, 2000

Carleton University, Minto Centre, Room, MC 2014

6:00 pm ‑ 8:00 pm

Guest Speaker: Natalie St‑Denis

"Individuation vs Commitment in the Workplace: A Gender Perspective"

Natalie St‑Denis will provide a summary of her thesis entitled "Gender

Differences in the Enculturation Process of New Faculty in Science." She

will describe the enculturation process of new individuals into an

organization  with a particular focus on gender. Natalie will also describe

various female role models and how these models can lead towards

individuation or commitment to the organization.

The WISE/FSI Ottawa Chapter presents an evening of discussion for professionals

and students, members and non‑members. This event will enable women in

related fields of science and engineering to share some stories and to

make new friends! If you are not a member, this is your chance to meet

us, and see what our organization is all about. Together we can work to

promote and support women in the sciences and engineering!
