2. ICWES12 Summary Submission Deadline Extended to July 30, 2001
The deadline for the ICWES12 summary submission (International Conference for
Women Engineers and Scientists) has been extended from July 15 to July 30, 2001.
Everyone is encouraged to submit a summary to this conference that will be held
in Ottawa at the Ottawa Congress Centre on July 27-31, 2002 (NEXT YEAR!).
The initial summaries will help the conference committee to separate the papers
into themes, therefore, only a couple of paragraphs are required at this point.
For those who have never attended a women in science and engineering conference before, take a look at the proceedings from the 8th CCWEST Conference held in Newfoundland in July 2000 (Canadian Conference for Women in Engineering, Science and Technology) to get an idea of possible issues for discussion www.ccwest.org/english/conference/conf_2000_papers.html, (a link is also available from the WISE Ottawa Website). The full paper deadline is October 1, 2001.
For more information, please check out the ICWES12 webpage, www.icwes12.org, or
contact Monique Frize (Conference Chair) at monique_frize@carleton.ca.
