Ottawa and WISE Ottawa Team Up for a Presentation on Leadership Skills (please
see our poster)
DigitalEve Ottawa
and WISE Ottawa (Women in Science and Engineering) are pleased to present
Rebecca Leaver who will host a leadership skills seminar. Both DigitalEve Ottawa and WISE Ottawa are
very excited about this event as it offers a great opportunity to meet other
people in the Ottawa Region.
Rebecca Leaver, PhD,
is a local psychologist who will give us insight into leadership. She
integrates a background in organization development, depth psychology, and
adult learning.
A seasoned human
resource development specialist with over 20 years experience in the design,
development and delivery of interventions, she is a catalyst for personal and organizational
change. Learn how leadership can be effective in the workplace as well as in
volunteer and community organizations.

of Ottawa, Colonel By Building

COST: In lieu of an admission cost, we encourage attendees to bring
a non-perishable food item(s) for donation to the Ottawa Food Bank.
This is a wonderful
chance to meet some new people and learn valuable leadership skills as well, so
make plans to attend! Both men and women are welcome.

New Features on WISE Ottawa’s New Website
Of course, our
website still archives all of our newsletters and events in case you misplace a
newsletter or event notice. We also have information on upcoming conferences
related to women in science and engineering. However, our newly renovated
website now offers many more features! Over the next couple of newsletters,
we’ll highlight some of the interesting features now available to you.

we will change the question to attain feedback from our members. Please share
your opinions so that we can continue to meet the needs of our members!
- Message Board
Here, members can
post announcements of upcoming events for other organizations that might be of
interest to our WISE members. There is also the opportunity to post job notices
if you are working in the public sector (i.e. government, universities,
not-for-profit organizations, etc.). Feel free to acknowledge successes of our
WISE members if they have received awards recognizing their contributions to
their area of expertise or congratulate friends on recent weddings or births.
