WISE Ottawa is very excited to present Dr. Linda Duxbury as the speaker for this year’s AGM! Dr. Duxbury will be discussing her recent Health Canada-sponsored ‘Voices of Canadians: Seeking Work-Life Balance’ study, with a particular focus on dual-career families. Her report has attracted widespread attention both in Canada and internationally (Dr. Duxbury has just returned from Australia). If you have not read this fascinating report it can be found at:

She has influenced government policy-making and significantly advanced the practices and attitudes toward work-life balance, flexible work arrangements, and the development of supportive managers and work environments in Canada.

2. WISE Executive positions for 2003-2004

If you are interested in being a member of the WISE executive for the 2003-2004 year, we will be selecting the new executive at the AGM. This is not an intimidating process! WISE is not exclusive and anyone who wants to help is more than welcome. The positions with *s are definitely open for next year, and it would be great to have some new faces/ideas on the executive.

Would it be possible for current executive members to let Christina know if they are interested in maintaining their current positions for next year? Thanks!
